Job Description

Buyer responsible for managing procurement activities, purchase orders, supplier quotations, pricing analysis, and delivery performance across assigned commodities and programs. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, or related field. 0-3 years of relevant procurement or buying experience. Experience preparing and issuing purchase orders. Experience managing procurement activities from supplier selection through purchase order closeout. Experience preparing and submitting RFQs and RFPs. Experience performing price analysis and supplier quotation evaluation. Experience negotiating supplier pricing. Experience tracking supplier delivery commitments against program schedules. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for managing large data sets and requisition lines. Proficiency with Microsoft Word. Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems. Preferred Skills 2+ years of prior buying experience. Experience managing assigned commodity categories. Experience supporting multiple programs simultaneously. Experience with supplier performance metrics, including on-time delivery and cost savings. Experience supporting supplier qualification and new source development. Experience with supply chain process compliance and procurement standards. Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Experience working with engineering, quality, operations, and program management functions. Job Responsibilities Manage purchase orders from supplier selection through RFQ/RFP issuance, quote receipt, analysis, negotiation, documentation, and closeout. Issue purchase orders across multiple programs and assigned commodity categories. Prepare procurement documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures. Submit RFQs and RFPs to suppliers. Analyze supplier quotations and perform pricing analyses. Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers. Support proposal activities by requesting, reviewing, and evaluating supplier quotations. Monitor open purchase orders and supplier delivery commitments. Update purchase order status and identify delivery schedule changes. Expedite supplier deliveries when required to support program schedules. Identify and evaluate new sources of supply when necessary. Support supplier qualification activities with engineering and quality functions. Track supplier performance, including on-time delivery and cost performance. Participate in program reviews and supplier performance reviews. Support procurement metrics, cost reduction initiatives, and continuous improvement activities. Maintain procurement records and purchase order documentation. Manage procurement activities in accordance with established supply chain processes and operational requirements.
