Job DescriptionMcWane Ductile

  • Utahlocated in Provo, Utah has an immediate need for a
PURCHASING/SUPPLY CHAIN

COORDINATORWe are a world class manufacturer of ductile iron pipe and poles and have been in operation since 1926. The successful applicant will compile information and records to prepare, track and fulfill purchase orders for procurement of materials and services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Confirms all purchase orders with vendors to ensure receipt of PO, correct pricing and estimated date of delivery (EDD).Track all outstanding POs that have not been received by the EDD.Fields all general purchasing calls.



Interacts with vendors and departments regarding procurement procedures and status of orders.



Reviews customer information with third party compliance company to ensure compliance with corporate purchasing and EHS policies and procedures and keep the necessary records up to date.



Reconciles and processes receiving reports, vendor invoices and other procurement documents.



Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

The work environment varies from a typical office setting to a warehouse environment that may be hot, cold, dusty, and noisy. As necessary, must wear common protective or safety equipment, such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats.



Weekend work required as needed. Up to one Saturday per month.

Classification:

Non-Exempt Position (I believe)Reports to: Purchasing ManagerPosition type and expected outs of work: Full-time hours, work schedule is 7:00 AM

  • 4:00 PM, additional hours as needed and schedule subject to change.

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or GED; 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.



Valid driver license.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and WordStrong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.



Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.



Knowledge of purchasing processes, procedures, and documentation.
