Car Wash General Manager Job Summary:

We are seeking a Car Wash General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of one of our strongest locations. We are a rapidly expanding family-owned and operated company with numerous car washes located throughout the Southeast, and we are looking for a highly self-motivated and experienced leader to manage this site. We are targeting candidates with prior car wash General Manager experience. Furthermore, candidates who are well-versed in the following areas are typically great fits:

• Experience working with unlimited wash club memberships/monthly recurring plans (i.e., selling these plans to customers, increasing the total number of net customers with an unlimited plan at one or more car washes, and troubleshooting issues related to unlimited plans).
• Familiarity with routine car wash maintenance protocols and troubleshooting issues related to car wash chemicals and equipment.
• Hiring and training employees, creating weekly schedules, and developing a strong sense of culture within the store.
• Handling various customer satisfaction-related scenarios.

Car Wash General Manager Job Schedule:

General Managers are expected to work approximately 45-50 on-site hours weekly. General Managers are expected to work five days on-site each week and be off two days each week. General Managers receive an hour-long lunch break each workday. You will create the schedule for your store, so you have significant influence over which days and shifts you work. However, RipTide expects their General Managers to work occasional Saturday and/or Sunday shifts.

Car Wash General Manager Compensation:

1st Year General Manager's have the ability to make upwards of $85,000 plus w/ bonus. This is a salaried position. The starting salary is $50,000-$60,000, but this number is negotiable. Base salary negotiations are contingent upon various factors, including prior car wash industry experience, management experience, mechanical aptitude, and a variety of other variables. In addition to base salary, our General Managers are eligible for monthly bonuses related to store performance . Our General Managers may earn several types of bonuses each month, and there are multiple tiers of monthly bonus payouts. There is no limit or cap on the number of bonuses a General Manager can receive. Assuming a General Manager hits all their bonuses, they can earn an additional $35,000+ annually!

Car Wash General Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintaining daily operational standards. Preparing and maintaining quality control procedures. Measuring, maintaining, and requesting additional inventory and chemicals (as needed). Inspecting and maintaining car wash equipment. Creating weekly employee schedules. Training new employees and developing their skillsets. Fostering a strong sense of culture within the site, anchored in accountability, communication, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Resolving all customer-related questions and concerns. Analyzing and reconciling store data, including sales/revenue information and labor costs. Accurately reporting site sales information to upper management. Providing the best customer service experience possible. All other duties as assigned by the district operations management team.

Car Wash General Manager Qualifications:

A valid driver's license and a reliable form of transportation are both required. Prior car wash management experience is required. Prior car wash industry experience is required. The ability to motivate, train, and lead those around you is essential. Strong customer service skills are essential. Must be highly adaptable and be able to think quickly on your feet. Mechanical aptitude is strongly preferred. The ability to be self-sufficient is strongly preferred. Must be able to lift/push/carry objects weighing more than 50 pounds.
