Estimator, Harrell's Automotive, Cedar Point Harrell's Automotive is a family owned automotive service group with locations across North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. We are an automotive hospitality company that happens to fix cars. Anyone can change oil. Very few shops make a customer feel taken care of, and that is where we compete. Our Cedar Point store is hiring a full time Estimator. This is the person who turns a completed inspection into a complete, priced, ready to present ticket while the advisor stays with customers. What you will do You own the estimate. A technician completes a digital inspection and it comes to you. You confirm the findings with the technician, source the parts and check availability, validate labor times, and build an estimate line in our shop management system for every item the technician found. You prioritize the work by safety first, then the customer's concern, then maintenance, so the advisor presents it in the right order. Our standard is ten minutes from inspection complete to estimate built and report sent. You also keep the parts flow moving. You order approved parts right away, track ETAs, get them to the bay so no technician sits waiting on a ticket, and handle cores and returns inside the vendor window. When the counter gets stacked, you back up the front. You answer overflow calls, greet walk ins, write up work orders and present estimates when the advisor is unavailable. We train you on the presentation side. Schedule This position works every Saturday. You get a set day off during the week, so this is a five day schedule, not six. We are looking for someone who wants the Saturday seat and is reliable on it. Regular, on time attendance is a real requirement here, because the store cannot serve customers with an empty seat. What we are looking for Two or more years in automotive parts, service writing, dispatch or as a technician Working knowledge of vehicle systems, common repairs and labor guides Fast, accurate computer skills, and willingness to learn our systems with training provided Ability to talk to technicians in technical terms and to customers in plain language Valid driver's license and a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check High school diploma or equivalent. We hire for character, work ethic and coachability, and relevant experience counts in place of formal education.

Helpful but not required:

ASE P2 Parts Specialist or C1 Service Consultant certification, experience with Protractor, light and medium duty truck experience.
