Job Description
We are seeking a Maintenance Inventory & CMMS Specialist for a manufacturing company in Ayer, MA. This role will lead the organization of the maintenance storeroom, manage inventory in the CMMS, and implement efficient parts management processes. Responsibilities Organize and clean the maintenance parts storeroom using a logical storage system. Label and identify all maintenance parts with standardized information. Perform a complete physical inventory and reconcile existing records. Enter and maintain accurate inventory information within the CMMS. Set up inventory locations, minimum/maximum stock levels, and critical spare parts. Develop and implement procedures for issuing, returning, and reordering parts. Create visual organization systems including labels, bin locations, and signage. Identify obsolete, damaged, or duplicate inventory and recommend corrective actions. Train maintenance technicians on new inventory procedures and CMMS usage. Develop an efficient system for locating emergency and critical spare parts. Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, and workplace safety requirements. Document new processes and prepare a handoff guide for ongoing maintenance. Requirements 3-5 years of experience in inventory management, maintenance planning, or storeroom organization within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience implementing or maintaining a CMMS. Strong knowledge of MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) inventory practices. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to improve inefficient processes. Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate with maintenance technicians. Comfortable lifting moderate weight, standing, walking, and working in a manufacturing environment. This is a 6-month contract opportunity. The pay range is $34-$40/hr DOE.
