Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Biotechnology Logistic Associate I and play a vital role in ensuring the seamless flow of biological materials and laboratory supplies within our research and development environment. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in laboratory logistics, compliance, and scientific support. You will be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and maintaining accurate records to support cutting-edge biotech research. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute directly to advancing scientific discoveries and maintaining high standards of laboratory operations. Duties Coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of biological samples, reagents, and laboratory supplies in accordance with safety and quality standards. Assist with inventory management using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to track materials accurately. Prepare and package biological materials for shipment, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice), and other relevant guidelines. Maintain meticulous laboratory records of shipments, inventory logs, and sample tracking to ensure traceability and regulatory compliance. Support laboratory safety protocols by handling chemicals safely, maintaining sterile environments, and adhering to laboratory procedures. Collaborate with research teams to facilitate timely delivery of materials needed for experiments involving molecular biology techniques, cell culture, microbiology, histology, or other specialized areas. Assist in coordinating internal audits and inspections related to laboratory compliance and quality control measures. Experience Prior experience in an industrial or research laboratory setting is preferred but not required; a strong interest in biotechnology logistics is essential. Familiarity with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), CGMP standards, or FDA regulations enhances your ability to succeed in this role. Knowledge of animal physiology, microbiology, histology, molecular biology techniques, or clinical laboratory procedures is advantageous. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for data entry and report generation is required. Demonstrated ability to follow detailed laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain accurate documentation is critical. Experience with laboratory instruments related to sample handling or analysis will be considered a plus. Strong organizational skills combined with attention to detail ensure efficient management of lab materials and compliance documentation. Responsibilities include:
Process both domestic and international shipments utilizing FedEx, UPS and DHL shipping software. Prepare all product for shipping, including but not limited to cleaning and final visual inspection, labeling, or stamping and packaging. Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Maintain Inventory system. Registering products info. into database and batch records Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications Oversee the operations and perform light works if needed like fixing, installation, damage control around the property. Complete and maintain all batch records and paperwork in accordance with established procedures and manufacturing practices for shipping and receiving. Assist Lab and quality department with Shipping samples to 3rd party Lab for testing Equipment preventive maintenance Being able to utilize company car to pick up and drop off packages Assist with Facility care.
Data Entry Requirements:
A.A or A.S degree. At least two years of experience with operation, packaging and processing incoming and outgoing material . Experience with data entry Experience with any Inventory system and Inventory Management software. Experience using Microsoft Suite Comfortable working in a fast paste environment. Attention to details Very Detail-oriented Strong written and oral communication skills Maintain a professional, positive, and enthusiastic demeanor when communicating with clients and internal staff. Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
