We are looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to support packaging-related operations and evaluation activities across manufacturing sites in Loves Park, Illinois. This Long-term Contract position will contribute to material assessments, production trials, and technical documentation that help maintain reliable packaging performance for both current and upcoming products. The role is well suited for someone who can combine hands-on testing support with organized analysis and clear reporting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate packaging trials on production lines by organizing materials, assisting with setup, tracking observations, and capturing accurate results. Evaluate packaging components used for unit, case, and pallet configurations to confirm they meet operational and performance expectations. Perform lab-based and practical tests on packaging materials, then summarize findings through structured records and technical reports. Partner with engineering and plant teams to investigate packaging issues and help identify effective corrective actions. Build sample packages and prototypes to support development work, validation activities, and process improvements. Maintain organized documentation for test plans, trial outcomes, specifications, and supporting data used in packaging projects. Assist with equipment-related testing tied to packaging processes to help verify functionality and readiness for production use. Experience supporting supply chain, packaging, manufacturing, or logistics-related operations in an industrial environment. Working knowledge of material evaluation, production support, or inventory analysis within a manufacturing setting. Ability to collect, interpret, and document test data with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and plant personnel. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and documentation requirements. Proficiency with business systems or reporting tools such as PeopleSoft or similar enterprise platforms is preferred. Clear written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings and supporting project activities. The salary hourly range for this position is $28.00-$37.00.
