Full-Time About the Position We are an established OTR trucking company operating a fleet of semi-trucks and trailers. We are looking for a dependable and organized Fleet Coordinator to join our team in Naperville, IL. The Fleet Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day fleet maintenance, keeping trucks on schedule for preventative maintenance and DOT inspections, communicating with drivers, and coordinating truck repairs. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and able to work in a fast-paced trucking environment where keeping equipment on the road is a priority. Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule preventative maintenance (PM) for trucks and trailers. Schedule and track DOT inspections and other required inspections. Communicate with drivers regarding truck maintenance, repairs, and equipment issues. Receive and document driver reports of mechanical problems. Coordinate truck repairs with repair shops, mobile mechanics, dealerships, and vendors. Follow up on repairs to ensure trucks are repaired correctly and returned to service as quickly as possible. Monitor the status of trucks that are down for maintenance or repairs. Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records for the fleet. Track upcoming PM services, inspections, repairs, and other maintenance requirements. Help minimize truck downtime by staying ahead of maintenance needs. Communicate repair updates and estimated completion times to drivers and management. Handle multiple maintenance issues and priorities throughout the day. Work closely with operations and drivers to ensure equipment is available and road-ready. Identify recurring maintenance issues and bring them to management's attention. Perform other fleet-related duties as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in trucking, fleet management, fleet maintenance, or a similar transportation environment preferred. Understanding of semi-truck maintenance and common mechanical issues preferred. Knowledge of DOT inspections and trucking compliance requirements is a plus. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to communicate professionally with drivers, repair shops, and vendors. Ability to prioritize multiple repair and maintenance issues at the same time. Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Comfortable working in a fast-paced OTR trucking environment. Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records. Must be dependable, proactive, and able to work independently. What We're Looking For We need someone who takes ownership of the fleet maintenance process . You should be comfortable picking up the phone, talking to drivers and repair shops, scheduling repairs, following up on trucks that are down, and making sure maintenance items don't get overlooked. If you have experience working around semi-trucks and OTR operations and understand the importance of keeping equipment safe, compliant, and on the road, we would like to hear from you.
