This role coordinates production activities, manages supplier relationships, monitors inventory levels, and ensures on-time delivery of parts and finished products while maintaining compliance with AS9100, FAA, customer, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Production Planning Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, forecasts, and capacity constraints. Release and monitor work orders to support manufacturing operations. Analyze production requirements and material availability to ensure uninterrupted workflow. Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and customer service teams to meet delivery commitments. Track production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to address shortages, delays, or priority changes. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and inventory turns. Purchasing & Procurement Source and procure aerospace materials, components, hardware, and services from approved suppliers. Issue purchase orders and manage supplier delivery schedules. Negotiate pricing, lead times, and contracts when appropriate. Review supplier performance regarding quality, delivery, and cost metrics. Maintain adequate inventory levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory. Expedite critical materials and resolve supplier shortages or delivery issues. Inventory & Supply Chain Management Perform material requirements planning (MRP) and inventory analysis. Manage demand planning and forecast material requirements. Optimize inventory levels to support production and customer requirements. Monitor supplier lead times and identify supply chain risks. Coordinate cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives. Compliance & Documentation Ensure procurement activities comply with AS9100 quality standards and customer requirements. Maintain accurate purchasing, planning, and inventory records within ERP/MRP systems (JobBoss). Support audits related to purchasing, inventory, and production planning processes. Verify supplier certifications and material traceability requirements. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered. Experience 3-5+ years of production planning, purchasing, or supply chain experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or a highly regulated industry. Experience working with ERP/MRP systems JobBoss strongly preferred(SAP, Epicor, Oracle, Infor, Dynamics, etc.). Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes and supply chain requirements preferred. Skills Strong understanding of MRP, production scheduling, and inventory control. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOMs). Strong negotiation and supplier management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems. Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred Certifications
