Role:
We are looking for a Planning Analyst to join our team and support demand planning and forecasting across our products and customers. In this role, you will analyze sales history, customer forecasts, seasonality, promotions, and product trends to help maintain the right inventory levels and meet customer needs. You will work closely with Sales, Supply Planning, Finance, Marketing, and Operations to communicate changes in demand, improve forecast accuracy, and support the company's S&OP and planning processes.
What You'll Do:
Develop and maintain demand forecasts by product, customer, and sales channel. Analyze historical sales, customer forecasts, seasonality, promotions, and other demand trends. Partner with Sales and customer teams to understand forecast changes, promotional activity, new items, and customer needs. Monitor forecast accuracy, bias, and variances and recommend forecast adjustments. Identify demand risks and opportunities that may impact inventory, service levels, or sales. Support new product introductions, phase-ins, phase-outs, and seasonal planning. Partner with Supply Planning to align demand forecasts with inventory and supply requirements. Support monthly S&OP and demand review processes by preparing forecasts, reports, and analysis. Maintain accurate forecasting and planning data within ERP and demand planning systems. Develop reports and analysis related to customer demand, sales trends, and forecast performance. Support continuous improvement of demand planning processes, reporting, and forecasting tools.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Finance, Analytics, or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain planning, inventory planning, or a related analytical role. Experience in a consumer products, retail, or eCommerce environment preferred. Understanding of forecasting, seasonality, promotions, and product lifecycle planning. Experience with ERP, MRP, or demand planning systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar. Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP, and data analysis. Experience analyzing forecast accuracy, forecast bias, and variances preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and manage changing priorities. Experience with demand planning software implementation or optimization preferred. Process improvement experience preferred.
