Lancaster Works is a new cabinetry company born out of Lyndon Heath Cabinetry, an established high end custom cabinetry company serving residential projects throughout the Mid Atlantic and beyond. Lyndon Heath Cabinetry specializes in highly customized cabinetry and millwork for the high profile spaces of a home. On many of our projects, however, there are secondary spaces that still need beautiful, well made cabinetry but do not require the same level of customization. For years, we have often passed on those spaces. Lancaster Works was created to provide a better solution. Lancaster County is home to an exceptional network of skilled cabinetmakers and small manufacturing shops. Lancaster Works connects that local craftsmanship to our projects by providing the design, estimating, project management, communication, and coordination needed to create a professional and consistent customer experience. This business is ready to operate. Our manufacturing partners have been selected, our initial product and pricing structure is established, our processes have been developed, and we have already sold multiple Lancaster Works projects. We are now looking for the right person to take ownership of the operation and help us grow it. About the Role Internally, this person will serve as the Director of Lancaster Works and will work closely with the Lyndon Heath Cabinetry leadership team. This is more than a traditional cabinetry project management position. We are looking for a high capacity leader who can take responsibility for the day to day operation, performance, and continued development of Lancaster Works. The right person will have a solid working knowledge of cabinetry and understand how cabinets are designed, constructed, and installed. You should be able to work confidently through cabinetry projects, develop practical design solutions, review drawings for accuracy, collaborate with our manufacturing partners, and communicate effectively with homeowners, builders, designers, and architects. Just as important is your ability to lead and operate independently. We need someone who sees what needs to happen, makes decisions, solves problems, builds relationships, improves systems, and takes responsibility for results. Key Responsibilities Take ownership of the day to day operation of Lancaster Works Manage projects from initial scope and design through drawings, approvals, manufacturing, delivery, and completion Develop practical and attractive cabinetry solutions for our projects Review cabinetry drawings for accuracy and coordinate with our drawing resources Work closely with our established cabinet shop partners on pricing, production, scheduling, quality, and project execution Communicate confidently with builders, designers, architects, homeowners, vendors, and other project partners Manage project schedules, costs, changes, and profitability Identify problems early, make decisions, and take responsibility for solutions Continue developing and improving Lancaster Works products, processes, standards, and systems Work with the Lyndon Heath Cabinetry leadership team on strategy, resources, financial performance, and growth Help build and eventually lead the Lancaster Works team as the business grows Who We Are Looking For We are looking for an experienced cabinetry professional who is ready for a broader level of responsibility. You may currently be a senior project manager, designer, operations leader, estimator, engineer, or another experienced industry professional who understands cabinetry and is ready to take ownership of an operation. The right person will be confident, highly organized, practical, and a strong communicator. You should be comfortable making decisions, managing multiple priorities, working directly with customers and trade professionals, and moving between the details of individual projects and the larger needs of the business. Most importantly, we are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset. Lancaster Works already has the foundation, projects, manufacturing partners, and resources in place. We need someone who can take responsibility for what has been built and help turn it into a successful and scalable company. Compensation and Benefits This is a full time salaried leadership position with competitive compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to base salary, this position is expected to include a meaningful performance based profit sharing opportunity tied to the success of Lancaster Works.
