Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday | 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM About Rooted Grove Collective Rooted Grove Collective is a small, nature-based learning community. Our program emphasizes curiosity, creativity, outdoor exploration, and child-led learning rather than traditional classroom instruction. Children spend much of their time outdoors engaging with nature, building, exploring, and developing social and practical life skills. We are looking for a warm, dependable Assistant Facilitator who enjoys working with young children in an outdoor environment and supporting their natural curiosity and development. Position Overview The Assistant Facilitator supports the Lead Facilitator in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children. This role includes assisting with activities, supervising children during outdoor exploration and play, helping with transitions, and supporting the overall flow of the program. Responsibilities Support children during outdoor play, exploration, and hands-on activities Help maintain a safe and nurturing environment for children Assist the Lead Facilitator with daily program rhythm and activities Help children with basic needs such as snacks, bathroom breaks, and transitions Encourage curiosity, creativity, and respectful social interactions Assist with simple setup and cleanup of materials and learning spaces Qualifications Experience working with children (childcare, nannying, education, camps, etc.) Comfortable spending extended time outdoors in varying weather Patient, calm, and nurturing with young children Reliable and punctual Able to work collaboratively with a small team Preferred (but not required) Interest in nature-based or alternative education CPR/First Aid certification Compensation $18-$22 per hour depending on experience.
