As a result of continued growth in North America and a commitment to providing the highest level of service to our customers, we are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team in Akron, Pennsylvania.
POSITION SUMMARY
: The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing cross-functional projects from initiation through production and launch. This role ensures project activities are completed according to defined scope, timing, budget, quality, and customer requirements. The Project Manager coordinates activities between Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, suppliers, and customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage assigned projects from initiation through development, validation, implementation, production launch, and project closure in accordance with defined scope, timing, cost, quality, and customer requirements. Develop and maintain project timing plans, milestones, deliverables, action items, and project documentation while tracking progress and communicating deviations. Coordinate cross-functional project activities with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure project deliverables are completed on time. Support manufacturing and launch readiness activities, including tooling development, process validation, capacity readiness, APQP activities, and PPAP completion. Coordinate customer requirements, project deliverables, open issues, and timing with internal teams and support customer-facing project status and launch review meetings. Maintain project open-issue and risk tracking, identify potential schedule delays or resource constraints, and coordinate corrective actions and recovery plans with responsible functions. Coordinate product and process development activities with Engineering and Operations to ensure technical and customer requirements are incorporated into project execution. Coordinate activities between local and global project team members and facilitate regular project review meetings covering timing, milestones, risks, open actions, and launch readiness. Track project costs, schedules, resources, and key performance indicators and escalate significant deviations or resource requirements to Program Management or functional leadership. Support compliance with applicable customer-specific, regulatory, safety, and automotive quality requirements, including IATF 16949 and applicable
APQP/PPAP
requirements. Coordinate resolution and follow-up of project-related customer concerns, nonconforming product, receiving, and commercial issues with the responsible functional departments. Maintain accurate and current project records, reports, timing plans, and other required documentation, as well as regular, predictable attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Business discipline 3 years of progressive electronic component industry related experience which could include sales, marketing product management, distribution, asset management etc. Ability to work "hands-on" as required to ensure a successful product launch Must have strong written and oral communication skills Strong business acumen and a thorough understanding of technical complexities Strong customer facing skills - building relationships, handling negotiations and selling preferred Considerable experience working with product technology, processes or market Proven ability to deliver results Critical thinking and decision making
