Whether you're coming from construction, project management, or an office environment—and want a role that blends structure with hands-on work—this position offers a clear path to becoming truly indispensable.

Custom Cabinetry & Construction Position Summary The Project Assistant supports the owner/designer in the execution of residential cabinetry and millwork projects. This is a hands-on, detail-focused role centered around organization, communication, and accuracy. You'll be responsible for gathering product and appliance specifications, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring drawings, notes, and selections are always up to date and accurate. Over time, this role is designed to grow into a more advanced position for someone who demonstrates reliability, initiative, and an ownership mindset. All team members at Frontier Craftsmen are cross-trained, so this role will also include occasional work in the shop and in the field as projects require. Core Responsibilities Assist the owner/designer with day-to-day project coordination Gather and organize appliance specs, hardware details, and product information Maintain accurate project notes, measurements, and selections Keep digital and physical job files organized and up to date Support preparation of drawings and documentation for shop production and installation Track project details and timelines to ensure nothing is missed Coordinate with shop staff, installers, and office team to keep projects moving Handle administrative tasks such as emails, follow-ups, and internal checklists Secondary / Field & Shop Responsibilities Assist with cabinet assembly and shop prep as needed Support cabinet installations during busy periods Visit job sites for measurements, verification, or troubleshooting Help wherever needed to keep projects on track Qualifications High school diploma (required) Some experience or exposure to construction, cabinetry, drafting, or design Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfortable learning new software (CAD/design experience is a plus) Good communication skills—both written and verbal Ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines Valid driver's license preferred What We're Looking For Someone who takes ownership and follows through Someone who prefers structure and clarity over jobsite chaos Someone willing to learn, improve, and be honest about what they don't know Someone who wants to be part of a team, not just fill a role What We Value Integrity
