Seeking a qualified individual for the Court Operations Systems Support Unit. This position will involve central office testing, training, and support related to the Edison, Clara, and CV/FA E-Filing systems. Qualified applicants should have knowledge of and familiarity with one or more of these applications in the courthouses and should be able to apply court and legal knowledge to the creation of documentation related to these systems, to troubleshooting issues users are experiencing with these applications, and to testing enhancements and bugs in these applications.

CLASS DEFINITION
This class is accountable for independently performing a full range of professional tasks in implementing policies and procedures for facilitating and expediting the flow of criminal, civil and family cases through the court system.
GUIDELINES FOR CLASS USE
Positions of the class are distinguished from the case flow Coordinator II in that this class is appropriate for the full, standard professional practice of scheduling, expediting and administering the efficient and appropriate movement of trial cases through the court. Case flow Coordinators II provide more advanced analyses and facilitation of case movement as well as consultative services to judges and attorneys in expediting case resolution.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Positions of the class may work under the direction of various administrators in different jurisdictions but typically work under the administrative direction of a Judicial District Chief Clerk or other employee of higher grade. In some jurisdictions, positions work under the direction of a Presiding Judge or Administrative Judge.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
Positions may serve as lead for Temporary Assistant Clerks, providing them with training and guidance in such areas as court procedures and court administration.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
Implements effective and efficient methods for processing and administering the progress of legal cases through the court system including such actions as arranging for juries, courtrooms, interpreters, witnesses and documents; tracks and processes cases to disposition by judges, referees, fact finders, magistrates, juries and others; prepares trial schedules and notifies parties of those schedules; analyzes case flow statistics and prepares statistical and narrative reports on case movement through the judicial system; analyzes continuance requests from attorneys and makes recommendations to judges on granting continuances; monitors case flows through computer based and documentary data and sets and modifies trial schedules according to changing circumstances; performs related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY
Knowledge of court operations, trial procedures and rules of practice; knowledge of the principles, concepts and methods of statistical analysis; knowledge of relevant state and federal laws; well-developed skills in interpersonal communications, oral and written communications; substantial database-oriented computer skills.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
General Experience:
Six years of professional experience in court administration, law or a related field.
Substitutions Allowed:
1) College training may be substituted for the general experience on the basis of fifteen semester hours equaling one-half year of experience to a maximum of four years for a Bachelor's degree. 2) A law degree or a Master's degree in Public Administration, Criminal Justice or a related field may be substituted for one additional year of the general experience. 3) Two years of experience as a Case flow Coordinator Trainee may be substituted for the General Experience. 4) One year of experience as a Case flow Coordinator Trainee and a law degree or a Master's degree in Public Administration, Criminal Justice or a related field may be substituted for the General Experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT
Incumbents may be required to travel in the course of their work.
