Job Description

Chemical processing facility located in Theodore, AL is currently looking for an experienced Planner/Scheduler for our Civil Departnent (experience in Industrial Paint, Civil, Industrial Insulation) SUMMARY Prepares complete estimates for assigned project(s) and determines project plans and specifications. 5+ years experience working as a Planner/Scheduler Experience working in a Production/Manufacturing facility SAP Experience Must have valid driver's license Must be able to pass background check
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Reviews and incorporates historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man-hour figures
  • Estimates worker-hours and materials required to complete the job
  • Reviews specifications, drawings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimates
  • Maintains files of working documents and back-up for estimate figures.
  • Reads and interprets instructions and documentation and plans work activities.
  • Moves materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work sites
  • Follows all hazardous waste handling guidelines.
  • Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
  • Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules.
Performs other duties as required.
Work Schedule:
Mon
  • Thurs 6:00 a.
m. to 4:30 p.m. (same overtime is mandatory)
Pay:
Starting pay around $34.28

REQUIREMENTS
  • Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
  • Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work.
  • Follow contracts as assigned.
  • Apply shop mathematics to solve problems.
  • Plan work and select proper tools.
  • Compare and see differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects.
  • Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
  • Make decisions based on measurable criteria.
  • Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules.
Performs other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
