Job Description
Chemical processing facility located in Theodore, AL is currently looking for an experienced Planner/Scheduler for our Civil Departnent (experience in Industrial Paint, Civil, Industrial Insulation) SUMMARY Prepares complete estimates for assigned project(s) and determines project plans and specifications. 5+ years experience working as a Planner/Scheduler
Experience working in a Production/Manufacturing facility
SAP Experience
Must have valid driver's license
Must be able to pass background check
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews and incorporates historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man-hour figures
- Estimates worker-hours and materials required to complete the job
- Reviews specifications, drawings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimates
- Maintains files of working documents and back-up for estimate figures.
- Reads and interprets instructions and documentation and plans work activities.
- Moves materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work sites
- Follows all hazardous waste handling guidelines.
- Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
- Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules.
Work Schedule:
Mon- Thurs 6:00 a.
Pay:
Starting pay around $34.28- $37.
REQUIREMENTS
- Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
- Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work.
- Follow contracts as assigned.
- Apply shop mathematics to solve problems.
- Plan work and select proper tools.
- Compare and see differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects.
- Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
- Make decisions based on measurable criteria.
- Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules.
