TBD Position Summary The Knitting Scheduler Assistant supports the Planning team in developing and executing an efficient knitting schedule that meets customer demand, minimizes machine downtime, and maximizes first-quality production. This role plays a critical part in coordinating production flow, aligning materials and resources, including material purchasing—and ensuring schedules are optimized for operational efficiency. Core Responsibilities Assist in building and maintaining the knitting production schedule to meet customer order requirements and plan dates Load and sequence machine schedules to reduce changeovers and improve overall efficiency Coordinate with Planning, Operations, Product Development, and Purchasing to ensure readiness for upcoming production Support alignment of material purchasing (yarn, packaging, and related inputs) with the production schedule to ensure timely availability Support efforts to maximize knitting first-quality output and minimize waste or rework Monitor schedule adherence and communicate any risks or delays proactively Ensure all required inputs for production are available, including: o Knitting programs o Machine specifications and setups o Yarn availability o Packaging requirements o Sample approvals Help identify opportunities to improve scheduling efficiency, throughput, and machine utilization Maintain accurate scheduling data within ERP systems (Sock Info or equivalent) Participate in daily scheduling meetings and support execution of action items Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 1-3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, purchasing, or manufacturing environment Relevant manufacturing or supply chain experience may be considered in lieu of a degree Experience in textile, hosiery, or knitting operations preferred Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, data analysis) Experience with ERP systems preferred (Sock Info experience a plus) Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Key Competencies Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset Ability to think ahead and anticipate production and material constraints Strong sense of ownership and accountability Team-oriented with a focus on operational excellence Why Join Us Opportunity to play a key role in improving manufacturing efficiency, material flow, and on-time delivery Collaborative team environment across Planning, Operations, Product Development, and Purchasing Growth potential within a dynamic manufacturing organizationBenefits:
