Job Description

Medical Transportation Dispatcher / Customer Service Representative Tandem Transport is looking for a dependable, motivated, and organized team member to join our Customer Dispatch Team . In this role, you will work closely with our medical transportation crews and healthcare facility partners to coordinate safe, efficient, and timely transportation services for our patients. We provide ambulance, stretcher, and wheelchair transportation , and we will provide comprehensive training to help you understand the unique requirements of each service and confidently assist our customers and field teams. This is a Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM position, with occasional weekend or extended 12 hour shift coverage as needed for vacation relief. Experience with dispatching, customer service, healthcare transportation, or a similar environment is preferred. Familiarity with the
ZOLL CAD
system is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Schedule, coordinate, route, and dispatch transportation trips to field crews based on priority and scheduled appointment times Communicate with field crews and units using radio, telephone, and computer systems Answer incoming calls and assist customers and healthcare facilities with scheduling and transportation needs Prioritize requests based on urgency, timing, and operational needs Monitor the location and status of field crews to help ensure timely service Provide crews with accurate information regarding patients, locations, traffic conditions, special requirements, and other pertinent details Enter and maintain accurate information in our CAD system, including trip details, activity logs, and other records Communicate professionally and effectively with patients, healthcare facilities, transportation crews, and other partners Assist with general office responsibilities, including filing, reports, supply management, and other administrative tasks as needed Maintain a calm, professional, and solutions-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment Qualifications & Skills We are looking for someone who is proactive, dependable, and able to take ownership of their responsibilities . Proactive approach to job responsibilities is required Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision Previous experience in dispatching, customer service, transportation, healthcare, or a related field preferred Strong organizational and multitasking skills Ability to remain focused and organized while managing multiple tasks and priorities Accurate and efficient typing and data-entry skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong active-listening skills and attention to detail Sound judgment and critical-thinking abilities Ability to remain calm and professional when handling time-sensitive situations Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Dependable, reliable, and punctual Proficient in spoken and written English Willingness and ability to learn new systems, procedures, and skills Knowledge of emergency procedures and guidelines is a plus Experience with ZOLL CAD or similar dispatch software is a plus Why Join Our Team?
