Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized Scheduling Coordinator to join our Downtown Dental team! In this role, you will be the face of our daily operations, managing appointment schedules, coordinating with patients and team members, and ensuring seamless communication. A proactive approach and exceptional organizational skills will help us deliver outstanding service and maintain efficient workflows. This position offers an opportunity to develop your administrative expertise in an environment where your contributions are valued and truly make a difference. Ideal candidates have experience in the healthcare field but is not required. Duties Manage and coordinate appointment scheduling using Dentrix software and calendar management tools. Support operations by greeting patients, handling phone communication with professionalism, and managing client check-ins/intake paperwork. Respond promptly to phone inquiries, providing excellent customer service and clear information. Verify patient insurance information Maintain accurate records through data entry, filing, and updating Dentrix. Assist with office management tasks such as presenting treatment plans, taking patient payments, and organizing patient files to ensure smooth office operations. Utilize technical proficiency in computer literacy to troubleshoot basic office equipment and software issues as needed. Maintain accurate dental records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Light office cleaning Experience Proven experience in an office environment with a focus on administrative support or front desk responsibilities is a plus but not required. Knowledge of dental terminology and health information management is important. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Dentrix and data entry is preferred. Experience with scheduling software or calendar management tools is highly desirable. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a dental office setting. Bilingual abilities are a plus to enhance communication with patients. Demonstrated customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette.
