Job Summary The Imaging Scheduler at Prevea Health will be responsible for managing the scheduling of imaging procedures for patients, coordinating with medical professionals, ensuring all necessary information is collected, and assisting in the smooth operation of the imaging department. This role is vital in maintaining patient flow and ensuring timely and efficient imaging services. Working collaboratively with the staff in the different modalities within the Prevea imaging department. What you will do Schedule, reschedule and/or cancel patient appointments for the various Prevea imaging modalities. Work with imaging orders, making sure they are correct/appropriate and reaching out to providers with questions Answer the telephone; take messages, page physicians, etc. Answer any questions that a patient may have and when unsure, direct the patient to the appropriate area. Works closely with breast surgery staff in scheduling appointments and follow-ups. Enter patient insurance coverage information for patients. Inform patients of the variety of services that are offered by the clinic and the expectations of the clinic from our patients. Education Qualifications High School Diploma and/or GED Required Experience Qualifications 1-3 years Experience in customer service and/or healthcare setting Preferred Skills and Abilities Display proficient telephone and computer skills with clear and professional speaking abilities. Able to provide exceptional customer service by assessing patient needs, meeting quality standards, and evaluating satisfaction. Capable of being empathetic and responsive to patient's needs by actively listening, asking appropriate questions, and continually looking for ways to provide assistance. Able to efficiently multi-task and adapt to fast-paced environments with frequently changing protocols and processes. Capable of effectively and positively interacting with staff members throughout the company. Promote teamwork and provide a supportive environment throughout the organization. Display grammar, spelling, and punctuation knowledge to type patient information and take appropriate messages accurately. Able to work independently and think critically using provided information.
