Job Description

Position Purpose:
The Shipping & Receiving Associate I is responsible for supporting basic daily warehouse operations. This position focuses on learning and performing foundational shipping, receiving, and documentation tasks in compliance with GMP, Food Safety, and company procedures. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Foundational Operational Tasks Complete Daily Inspection and Cleaning Logs. Follow GMP, Food Safety, and Employee Safety Procedures. Assist with basic sanitation tasks and sanitation log completion. Perform Scale Verification in Deacom under supervision. Conduct Forklift Inspection in Deacom. Learn and perform simple inventory transactions in Deacom. Receiving & Documentation Assist in receiving purchase orders and intercompany transfers (with supervision). Help pull incoming and inventory reports as directed. Support the verification and staging of incoming materials. Perform truck inspections and header UDF updates. Warehouse Organization Assist in maintaining warehouse cleanliness and organization. Follow proper storage procedures for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. Use pallet jacks safely. Safety & Compliance Participate in training on spill kit usage and replenishment. Report damaged materials or safety concerns promptly. Additional Duties Other duties as assigned by the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor.
Required Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively with team members. Basic computer literacy (ERP training provided). Willingness to learn forklift operation and warehouse procedures. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Physical Demands The physical responsibilities described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, bend, as well as talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Must be able to regularly use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and climb stairs. The position requires the ability to occasionally lift shipping and receiving supplies up to 50 pounds and ability to push or pull up to 400 pounds. Working conditions The position works in a shipping and receiving warehouse setting. This role routinely uses shipping and receiving equipment such as a pallet jack, forklifts, and standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Travel Local travel to multiple worksites during the business day may be required. Position Type / Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm. Required Education and Experience High school diploma Willing and able to become hazmat certified. Preferred Qualifications Shipping and receiving experience Hazmat certification PI286749233
