Full Job Description Pay:

$23.00-$35.00 per hour, depending on experience, technical skills, and licensure. Job Summary Experienced Veterinary Technicians only. Responsibilities Safely handle and restrain dogs and cats during examinations and treatments Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures Prepare patients for surgery and monitor anesthesia throughout procedures and recovery Collect blood and urine samples and perform in-house laboratory diagnostics Place IV catheters and assist with fluid therapy Take high-quality radiographs Perform dental prophylaxis and assist with dental radiographs Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation Educate clients on medications, preventive care, nutrition, and home care Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment Support excellent workflow and client communication throughout the day Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Veterinary Technician in a small animal practice required RVT preferred, but not required Strong dog and cat handling and restraint skills Must be able to independently perform blood collection, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, dental prophylaxis, radiology positioning, and in-house laboratory procedures Comfortable assisting with surgical procedures and monitoring anesthesia Knowledge of aseptic technique and patient care standards Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to grow with the hospital Why You'll Love Working Here Supportive and collaborative team culture Opportunity to grow with a new and expanding hospital Beautiful beach-town location just minutes from the ocean Meaningful work with a team that values quality medicine and exceptional patient care If you're an experienced technician who enjoys practicing high-quality medicine in a positive and supportive environment, we'd love to hear from you!
