Summary:

The Shipper/Receiver performs routine duties to fill orders for shipment and receive incoming materials, monitors and operates shipping systems, prepares shipment documentation, moves and stages materials, and documents work in the inventory system to ensure timely, accurate shipping and receiving operations. Role:

On-site, full-time position in a fast-paced warehouse/manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include preparing bills of lading, labels, and packing slips; using weighing scales, strapping equipment, and material handling equipment including forklifts; rotating stock FIFO; entering shipping/tracking information into IQMS; and performing safety checks and general warehouse housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine shipping and receiving tasks to fill orders and receive incoming materials
• Work from shipping orders with written and verbal instructions
• Prepare bills of lading, shipping labels, and packing slips
• Use weighing scales and strapping equipment; arrange carriers and pickups
• Rotate cartons to maintain FIFO and move material with fork truck and other equipment
• Ship orders via FedEx/UPS computer systems and enter tracking into IQMS module
• Perform safety checks on equipment, racking, shelving, and storage units; report unsafe conditions to Warehouse Supervisor
• Maintain neat, orderly work areas and observe all health and safety requirements
• Complete additional assignments as needed; document quality issues and follow company procedures

Minimum Experience & Skills Required:

• High School Diploma and minimum 5 years experience in shipping/receiving with established shipping procedures
• Proficient with incoming/outgoing freight, UPS and FedEx labeling, and shipping software; IQMS experience preferred
• Able to work from instructions written in basic English and communicate effectively in English
• Strong problem solving, organization, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented, able to meet deadlines, multi-task, and work independently

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced warehouse in a manufacturing facility with seasonal temperature exposure at docks; noise from vehicles and material handling equipment
• Physical demands: bend, lift, move, and stack up to 50 pounds; frequent walking and standing; may require stooping, kneeling, and crouching
