Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care according to established standards and policies. Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment. Administer medications and IV therapy safely. Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to cardiac-related symptoms. Recognize abnormal laboratory and diagnostic results and notify physicians as needed. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and coordinate patient care. Provide patient and family education and support discharge planning. Delegate and supervise nursing interventions appropriately. Care for surgical patients, including pain management, drains, chest tubes, feeding pumps, and orthopedic equipment. Maintain accurate and timely documentation and promote patient safety.
Requirements:
1+ year of Med-Surg experience preferred Previous acute telemetry experience required Active Massachusetts RN License BLS Certification ACLS upon hire COVID vaccination
