MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN 3RD

Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day functionality of production machinery by monitoring and operating machines, analyzing results to meet company standards, troubleshooting problems, performing repairs on production machinery and auxiliary equipment, documenting work orders, and communicating equipment issues. About the
Role:
Provide 3rd shift hands-on maintenance and repair support to keep manufacturing equipment and production lines operational. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and PLC-controlled systems to a component level, perform preventative maintenance, change dies, wire and document controllers, and support continuous improvement and production uptime. On-site, full-time 3rd shift role requiring physical stamina, strong communication, and attention to safety and quality.
Essential Duties:
  • Troubleshoot and repair machines and equipment using OEM and wiring schematics, electrical drawings, circuits, gauges, meters, and programming tools
  • Troubleshoot to component level for pumps, valves, sensors, and related adjustments with British and Metric fittings and thread configurations
  • Resolve injection end issues using trade-standard clearances for machine components
  • Monitor systems, debug operational problems, make repairs, and perform preventative maintenance activities
  • Wire controllers to equipment, label wiring for safety, and document equipment programs
  • Perform OEM specified preventative maintenance on molding machines and support equipment, including machine leveling, squaring, and toggle clamp maintenance
  • Change dies and perform setups to meet production schedules
  • Complete open work orders, P.M.s, and stockroom organizational improvements
  • Communicate professionally with Maintenance Manager, production teams, and vendors; document system issues and status
  • Create process documentation for equipment as needed and assist with PLC programming when required
  • Perform building repair and general maintenance tasks
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Skills Required:
  • Associate?s degree with certification in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, Programming, or Robotics plus minimum 5 years hands-on machinery maintenance, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of plastics machinery, auxiliary equipment, hydraulics, fluids, and lubricants
  • Able to read and implement schematics and electrical drawings; PLC experience helpful
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English, able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Detail oriented, able to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work independently under time-sensitive conditions
  • Intermediate MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; ERP experience, IQMS preferred
  • Physical ability to bend, lift up to 70 pounds, stand and walk for most of the shift, stoop, kneel, and maintain stamina for 3rd shift work
Work Environment:
Typical clean manufacturing environment using robotic systems, with occasional warehouse material handling activity and noise from alarms and announcements. Role requires significant physical activity and stamina. Active Filters
