Lipman is a privately-owned family farming company. In fact, we are the largest grower of tomatoes in North America. We take pride in being a refreshingly dependable source of fruits and vegetables for our customers.
Worker Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must have some forklift and/or rider pallet jack experience. Willing to offer training. Ability to work weekends and holidays Basic reading, writing and math skills Exceptional work and safety record Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs. overhead Must have the ability to grasp, bend, stand, reach above shoulder height and walk extensively throughout the warehouse Read and differentiate between products with similar characteristics (size, color, vendor code)
Experience:
Warehouse distribution: 1 year (Required) Computer skills: 1 year (Required) Fresh produce industry: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
Forklift Certification (Preferred) Pallet Jack Certification (Preferred)
Forklift Operators Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow all Lipman Food Safety (GMP & HACCP) policies and procedures Must communicate with Supervisor to ensure all product are following the FIFO procedure Must maintain a safe work environment for themselves and the employees working around them Accurately pull produce based on pick-ticket, ensuring Quality is first Priority Receive product according per Guidelines, doing inspections for quality and food safety. Loading and unloading Trucks in a timely and safe manner.
Forklift operator compensation:
$20.00 an hour while training, $22 after training After 1 year of employment 2 weeks' vacation
