Overview We are seeking an experienced Materials Manager to lead planning, materials control, and inventory management operations. This position ensures production flow, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery across the organization, leveraging SAP/MRP systems to drive excellence in materials management. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the materials team, including MRP Controllers and Planners, to meet performance and production targets. Oversee material planning, scheduling, and control processes to ensure timely availability of components and raw materials. Manage inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and reduction initiatives to optimize working capital and minimize excess stock. Collaborate with Purchasing and Engineering to align material readiness for production, prototypes, and new product introductions. Ensure SAP/MRP data accuracy and integrity, including BOMs, routings, and master data. Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Quality, and Supply Chain to maintain production readiness and resolve material shortages. Champion continuous improvement initiatives and standardize processes to enhance planning efficiency and on-time delivery. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Operations Management (or related field). 7-10 years of experience in materials management, production planning, or supply chain roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position. Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems required. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Experience in heavy manufacturing preferred.
