Job Description As the Materials Manager, you will lead materials planning processes and inventory management throughout the facility to improve material flow consistent with the requirements of a lean manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Leads all materials management activities at the Howard Lake facility. Develops and executes a materials strategy to improve customer service, increase inventory turns and reduce excess inventory with focus on eliminating customer back orders. Improve material flow within the manufacturing facility through the development of a streamlined logistics process to minimize cost, optimize resource utilization, and reduce work in process. Provide leadership for Warehousing and Receiving personnel. Responsible for inventory record accuracy, cycle counts, and scrap accuracy transactions. Lead and manage physical inventory process as well as auditing plant scrap. Work closely with General Manager and operations on daily materials movements. Responsible for Materials KPIs Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business or related educational discipline preferred. 5+ years of experience in materials management in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred. 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role, exhibiting positive leadership traits and talent development. Demonstrated problem solving capability. Ability to communicate effectively to all levels within the organization. Ability to provide leadership to peers and subordinates on all subjects related to materials A familiarity with MRP systems. Proficient in Microsoft Suites, with emphasis in Excel. A working knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement processes. Hiring Range:
$90,300.00-117,000.00 Actual pay will vary based on qualifications and other factors
