Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) Fleet Operations Manager to oversee our local dump fleet and ensure the efficient safety and management of vehicles and drivers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for daily operations of the fleet, optimizing vehicle and personnel utilization, and ensuring compliance with all State and Federal regulations and company policies. This role is crucial in supporting our logistics and transportation needs while promoting safety and efficiency. Duties Manage the daily operations of the local dump fleet, including scheduling of drivers to specified locations. Monitor driver performance and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs while meeting the customer's needs. Ensure compliance and maintain records in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and company policies regarding CMV fleet operations. Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely deliveries and adherence to routes. Implement safety programs to promote a culture of safety among drivers. Analyze data related to fleet performance and prepare reports for management review. Qualifications Proven experience as a CMV Fleet Operations Manager or in a similar role within transportation or logistics. Experience in a Transportation Safety role is a plus. Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards to include OSHA and MSHA Regulations Must have a strong working knowledge of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations Experience with driver qualifications, drug and alcohol programs, vehicle inspection and maintenance, HAZMAT, accident investigations, DataQ's, and both CDL and Non-CDL CMV driver requirements. Experience with all permitting and licensing requirements for CMV operations. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively. Strong computer skills to include MS Word and Excel Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with drivers, customers, and management. A valid driver's license is required; Class A CDL License preferred. Additional certifications (i.e. CDS/CDT) related to CMV fleet operations are a plus. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
