Full Job Description Shipping & Receiving Lead Job Type:

Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and organized Shipping & Receiving Lead to support the daily operations of a busy warehouse and shipping/receiving department. This is a hands-on lead position that combines shipping and receiving, truck check-in/check-out, administrative duties, phone communication, and occasional forklift operation . The ideal candidate is comfortable working both on the warehouse floor and handling paperwork in an office environment. Forklift experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Responsibilities Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities Check inbound and outbound trucks in and out of the facility Communicate with truck drivers, carriers, warehouse employees, and other departments Answer incoming phone calls and assist with shipping and receiving questions Complete and organize shipping, receiving, and warehouse paperwork Verify shipment information and maintain accurate records Help keep the shipping and receiving area organized and running efficiently Assist with general warehouse operations as needed Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts when additional floor coverage is needed Help load, unload, stage, or move materials when necessary Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse policies Assist management with other shipping, receiving, and administrative duties as assigned Qualifications Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred Lead or supervisory experience is a plus Experience operating sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts preferred Forklift training can be provided for the right candidate Comfortable working with truck drivers and coordinating inbound/outbound traffic Basic computer and data-entry skills Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to accurately complete and maintain paperwork Comfortable answering phones and communicating professionally Ability to work independently and help keep daily operations on schedule Willingness to assist on the warehouse floor when needed Position Details This position is not a full-time forklift operator role . The Shipping & Receiving Lead will primarily coordinate shipping and receiving activities, check trucks in and out, answer phones, complete paperwork, and provide general floor support. Forklift operation will be required only as needed to help cover warehouse operations.
