Position Information:
Responsible for participating in coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities on a daily basis. Under direction from the Warehouse Supervisor, this position is responsible for overseeing the daily activity of shipping, receiving, and general warehouse duties in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.
Schedule:
Sunday-Thursday (7:30PM-4AM) (Friday and Sundays Off)
Essential Position Functions:
Dock management Assigning workload to staff Employee daily schedule (breaks & departure) Put away and replenishment Loading and unloading of materials Warehouse cleanliness Receiving material complete Shipping loads complete Processing all warehouse documents Training new employees on processes Follow-up and periodic training; including re-training as necessary Maintain training records Participate in Monthly Safety Meeting, as requested
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Leadership skills Organization Knowledge of general warehouse operations Good attendance record, dependable worker Knowledge of food distribution Instrumental in driving positive cultural development
Education & Experience:
Forklift certified/trained 1-2 years' experience in warehouse order selection, receiving, shipping, building pallet of products, shrink wrap pallets. Experience with safety procedures in a warehouse environment Forklift, pallet jack experience Successfully complete criminal background check - no felonies in last 5 years Must be 18 years of age or older

Physical Demands:
Ability to reach, lift, stack, and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weights up to 50 lbs. Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear and reach with hands and arms Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, and turn in a safe manner Exhibit manual dexterity and good hand/eye coordination to move freight Work in freezer and cooler environments
Work Environment:
Warehouse environment, walking and riding on equipment. Constant temperature changes involving outside weather, refrigerated and freezer warehouse.
Supervision:
This position has no direct Supervisory responsibility. This position receives Supervision and direction for all assignments. In some cases, Supervisor outlines steps involved in completing assignments or standard procedures are available to enable the employee to work in a routine fashion. The end results of this work are frequently checked.
