These positions are being recruited in support of a short-term food service requirement. Employment is anticipated for the applicable contract period in September-November 2026. Continued employment beyond the requirement is not guaranteed and is dependent upon operational requirements, funding, contract direction, and any authorized extension. Mission Focused. Solution Driven. About the Role Run the subsistence (Class I) storage operation that feeds the dining facility. You will receive, store, rotate, and issue food and supplies, and keep accountability for everything that moves through the warehouse, reefers, and freezers. What You'll Do Receive and inspect Class I deliveries for quantity, condition, temperature, and shelf life Store and rotate stock on a first-in, first-out basis in dry, chilled, and frozen storage Pull and issue daily requirements to the kitchen against the production schedule Record and monitor refrigeration and freezer temperatures and report discrepancies immediately Conduct inventories and maintain accurate receipt, issue, and turn-in records What You Bring 1+ year of warehouse, stockroom, supply, or material handling experience Pallet jack experience; forklift experience a plus — certification support available Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer spaces and lift up to 50 lbs Organized, accurate recordkeeping habits Must be 18 years of age or older (U.S. Government contract requirement) Ability to speak, read, and write English Ability to pass a criminal background check and obtain military installation access (valid ID and clean police record within the last 12 months) Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and five-panel drug screen and receive a Hepatitis A immunization before start Availability for rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays — the facility operates 7 days a week, earliest shift 3:30 AM Local candidates in the El Paso, TX and Las Cruces, NM area strongly preferred What We Offer Hourly pay: $15.98 per hour — plus $5.09/hour SCA Health & Welfare benefit, paid directly in your paycheck Overtime at 1.5x your base rate over 40 hours in a workweek, plus paid federal holidays and vacation per the Service Contract Act Uniforms, PPE, non-slip footwear, and all required food handler training provided at no cost to you Crew transportation to and from the dining facility provided Anticipated start: late September 2026; assignment runs through 20 November 2026 Additional Information Position is contingent upon contract award.
