Job Title:
Warehouse Worker/Loader (3rd Shift 1:30AM-10:00AM)
Location:
Totowa, NJ Pay:
$18.75 hour This Loader position supports a consumer packaged goods (CPG) food manufacturing operation by safely moving, stacking, and securing raw materials and finished products. You help keep production running smoothly by loading materials according to the production schedule, assisting with line operations, and working closely with quality control and production teams. You ensure order accuracy, follow food safety and plant safety standards (GMP/HACCP), and maintain a clean, sanitary work area while performing physically demanding tasks such as standing for long periods and lifting heavy materials. Responsibilities Load raw materials onto the production line in accordance with the production schedule. Load packaging materials onto the production line to support continuous production flow. Stack and secure raw materials in designated storage or staging areas to prevent damage and ensure safety. Stack and secure finished products on pallets or in storage locations to maintain order accuracy and product integrity. Confirm item details, including item number, lot number, and expiration date, to ensure correct materials are used and shipped. Perform material inspections in collaboration with Quality Control and the line Operator to verify product quality and compliance. Follow established sanitation procedures to maintain food safety and plant cleanliness standards (GMP/HACCP). Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and work areas regularly to support a hygienic production environment. Communicate inspection results clearly and promptly to the appropriate supervisor or lead. Coordinate closely with the production team, including picking, packing, inventory, and general labor staff, to ensure smooth material flow. Use RF scanners or RF scan guns to track inventory movement and confirm material transactions accurately. Support production operations by responding quickly to material requests and resolving material flow issues. Essential Skills Proficiency using pallet jacks for loading, unloading, and moving materials. Ability to load raw materials and packaging materials onto production lines accurately and safely. Ability to stack and secure raw materials and finished products to prevent damage and ensure stability. Experience working with RF scanners or RF scan guns for inventory and material tracking. Physical ability to stand for long shifts, lift heavy materials, and operate equipment for extended periods. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a warehouse or food manufacturing environment. Familiarity with GMP and HACCP food safety practices. Experience in material handling, picking, packing, inventory, and general labor functions. Comfort working with moderate noise levels and moderate temperature conditions. Ability to adapt to changing production priorities and schedules. Strong organizational skills to maintain orderly storage and staging areas. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Totowa, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
