Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a General Yard Laborer and become a vital part of our warehouse operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for supporting the efficient movement, handling, and organization of materials within our yard and warehouse environment. Your proactive approach and attention to safety will help ensure smooth shipping, receiving, and inventory management processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop skills in materials handling, and warehouse logistics while contributing to a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Duties Assist with loading and unloading shipments using various material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and alternate loading equipment Perform manual handling tasks including lifting, stacking, and organizing materials safely and efficiently Support inventory management activities by accurately tracking stock levels and updating records using warehouse management systems Prepare materials for shipping and receiving by ensuring proper placement, labeling, wrapping and documentation Maintain a clean and organized yard environment by sorting, storing, and disposing of materials properly Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies to promote a safe working environment at all times Qualifications Previous experience in warehouse distribution or warehouse operations is highly preferred Familiarity with order picking, shipping & receiving procedures, and inventory management systems Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and load & unload materials and machinery safely Strong manual handling skills with the physical ability to lift heavy loads regularly Basic math skills for measurements, counting, and inventory calculations Knowledge of OSHA safety protocols related to material handling and heavy equipment operation Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards This role is paid and offers an excellent platform for growth within the logistics field. Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
