Job Description
Diversified Shipping Services is a Blaine-based warehousing company that specializes in US/Canada border warehousing services. We provide pick, pack & ship, cross-dock, storage, and freight consolidation services for our customers. We pride ourselves in our customer relations and services. We are extremely team and customer focused. It is all about the people! Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Warehouse Worker and become a vital part of our fast-paced distribution operation! In this role, you will assist the warehouse manager handling materials, preparing shipments, managing inventory, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. Your attention-detailed approach will help ensure timely fulfillment of our customer orders at the highest level of quality. Safely load and unload shipments using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately. Carry out all warehousing activities following OSHA safety standards. Assist with shipping & receiving processes to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods. Manage materials handling tasks such as stacking pallets, organizing inventory, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness. At least one year previous experience in warehouse work environment. Forklift operation experience is a plus. We operate both sit-down and stand-up forklifts. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including safely and routinely lifting packages over 50 pounds by yourself, properly buddy-lifting heavier packages, and prolonged standing or walking. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to support shipping & receiving activities. Flexible, adaptable, and help foster a good team work environment. Always treat customers and coworkers with respect and appreciation. Job hours may be dynamic and are subject to change. As of now, the job would be three days a week (M-W) from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM. This could potentially scan to 4 or 5 days a week. Residing in the immediate Blaine area or immediate surrounding areas is big plus due to proximity to the warehouse.
