The Aerospace Capture Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of capture strategies to win new business in the aerospace sector. This role involves identifying opportunities, shaping customer requirements, building winning proposals, and managing cross-functional teams through the capture lifecycle—from opportunity identification to contract award.

Purpose:
 Swift Engineering is uniquely positioned in the marketplace to provide both Product Development and Manufacturing products and services, specializing in advanced composites. The Technical Sales Engineer promotes the services of the business by combining their technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Capture Strategy & Execution
  • Lead capture efforts for high-value aerospace programs (defense, commercial, or space).
  • Develop and execute capture plans, win strategies, and customer engagement plans.
  • Analyze customer needs, competitor positioning, and market trends to shape offerings. Customer Engagement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings. Proposal Leadership
  • Oversee proposal development, including technical, management, and pricing volumes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, finance, contracts, and operations to develop compelling proposals.
  • Ensure compliance with RFP requirements and internal review processes.
Team Leadership Lead cross-functional capture teams, including operations, engineering, and program management. Facilitate team reviews and gate reviews throughout the capture process. Risk & Opportunity Management Identify and mitigate risks associated with capture efforts. Develop pricing strategies and business cases aligned with company goals. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field 3-5 years of experience in aerospace, defense, or government contracting Proven track record of leading successful capture efforts ranging up to $50M in value. Strong understanding of government procurement processes (e.g., FAR/DFARS, DoD acquisition). Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to travel as needed (up to 25%). Preferred Skills
  • PMP or Capture Management certification (e.g., Shipley).
  • Experience with CRM tools and pipeline management (e.g., Salesforce, GovWin).
  • Familiarity with manned and unmanned aerospace systems (e.
g., propulsion, avionics, structures). Must be "

The Laser Tracker Operator is responsible for performing precision 3D measurements using laser tracking equipment to support manufacturing, assembly, quality assurance, and inspection processes. This role requires technical expertise in metrology, a strong understanding of engineering drawings.

Hourly Requirements Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up and operate laser tracker equipment (API) to capture high-precision 3D measurements. Perform alignment, assembly, and inspection tasks on mechanical parts, tools, fixtures, or large assemblies. Interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) from blueprints and CAD models to ensure parts and assemblies meet requirements. Generate detailed measurement reports and communicate results with engineers, machinists, and quality personnel. Calibrate and maintain metrology equipment according to manufacturer and internal standards. Document procedures and best practices for repeatability and continuous improvement. Support quality assurance and production teams with first article inspections (FAI), in-process verification, and final inspection.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. 3-5 years of experience operating laser trackers. Familiarity with API laser tracker is preferred. Proficient in laser tracker software. Experience with Verisurf is a plus. Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprints, and 3D CAD files. Familiarity with aerospace standards is a plus. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a shop environment. Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and written/verbal communication.
Skills Preferred:
Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs. Must be comfortable working in manufacturing, or clean room environments.

  • Perform mechanical and electrical integration of UAV platforms, including airframe, propulsion systems, avionics, and payloads
  • Follow engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and integration procedures to support build activities
  • Assist engineering teams with system installation, routing, and configuration Maintenance & Aircraft Readiness
  • Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on UAV systems
  • Ensure aircraft are flight-ready in accordance with internal processes and safety standards
