Caregivers - Experience with Alzheimers

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and Alzheimer's-experienced Caregiver to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional in-home and community-based care. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in dementia and Alzheimer's. As an essential part of our caregiving team, you will deliver personalized assistance that promotes independence, safety, and well-being for those you serve. Your expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients needing long-term support, memory care, or specialized assistance with daily activities. This position entails picking the client up at his home and taking him out for activities in the community including extensive walking, driving, and supervising swimming; lunch, and other activities as requested. Please come with ideas. The client has mild to moderate Alzheimers without behaivor issues. We are seeking a long-term caregiver who can grow with the skills required when the client advances. Responsibilities for this client and others may include: Assist client with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, or other assistive devices to facilitate safe transfers Maintain detailed documentation of client care activities, observations, and medication administration in compliance with privacy standards Support clients' emotional well-being through companionship, engagement in activities, and respectful communication Skills Proven experience working with seniors or individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of client information Familiarity with care plans, medication management, and client monitoring techniques Strong observational skills for patient safety and health status assessments Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams Join us if you're passionate about delivering high-quality care that enhances lives!
