Cashier/Customer Service

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions and assisting with product inquiries. Your ability to create a welcoming environment and promote our products will be key to enhancing the customer experience in our retail setting. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience. Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the cash register. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction. Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and services. Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product offerings to effectively assist customers. Conduct product demonstrations as needed to showcase features and benefits. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store displays. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve overall store performance. Skills Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive interactions. Proficiency in retail math to handle transactions and provide accurate change. Experience in retail sales, preferably in a grocery store or similar environment. Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a friendly demeanor. Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries via phone when necessary. Supervising skills are a plus for potential leadership opportunities within the team.
