Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Certified Veterinary Technician! In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, support veterinarians in medical procedures, and ensure the well-being of our animal patients. Your expertise will help create a compassionate and efficient environment where animals receive top-quality care. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills and make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with precision and confidence Perform technical tasks such as administering vaccinations, medications, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and fecal specimens, ensuring accurate results Maintain detailed medical records, update patient files, and document all treatments and procedures thoroughly Provide compassionate restraint and care for animals during examinations and procedures to ensure safety for both pets and staff Educate pet owners on post-treatment care, medication administration, and preventive health measures Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of medical equipment, surgical areas, and treatment rooms to uphold high standards of hygiene Qualifications Valid certification as a Veterinary Technician from an accredited program -- preferred Proven experience working with a variety of animal species in a veterinary setting is preferred but not mandatory; eagerness to learn is valued Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and educate pet owners Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Benefits 100% Employer Paid Medical Coverage for employee, spouse, and dependents (for full time employees)
