Civil Site Superintendent

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Heavy Civil Site Superintendent to oversee large-scale civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will manage daily site operations, coordinate subcontractors, ensure safety compliance, and deliver projects on time and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, construction management expertise, and proficiency with industry-standard software tools. The Site Superintendent will play a critical role in maintaining quality standards and fostering effective communication among project teams. Responsibilities Oversee all phases of heavy civil construction projects, including pipeline, roadway, and infrastructure work. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and onsite personnel to ensure project milestones are met. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Gannt Charts and other construction management software. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of work. Monitor project budgets, perform cost control measures, and assist with construction estimating as needed. Enforce safety protocols in compliance with OSHA standards; conduct regular safety meetings and inspections. Ensure quality control through routine inspections and adherence to project specifications. Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and daily reports. Utilize tools such as ProCore, Bluebeam, and construction management software for project tracking and reporting. Supervise the work of field crews to ensure productivity, safety, and quality standards are maintained. Requirements Proven experience in heavy civil construction management with a strong background in pipeline projects or similar infrastructure work. Supervising experience on large-scale construction sites with demonstrated leadership skills. Proficiency with Bluebeam, ProCore, and other construction management software tools. Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices for construction site safety compliance. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Strong understanding of construction estimating, budgeting, project scheduling, and quality control processes. Excellent management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple teams effectively. Experience with contracts management and project documentation procedures. Familiarity with electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters is preferred but not mandatory. Relevant certifications in construction management or related fields are a plus.
