Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a PRN Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)! This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in a great collaborative environment that values your expertise and dedication. Shifts will be 6 hours minimum. The position only has possible shifts Monday through Friday with no weekends or holidays. You are also not On-Call. Duties Administer anesthesia to patients across various age groups, including geriatrics and pediatrics, tailored to individual needs and procedural requirements. Conduct thorough patient assessments prior to anesthesia administration, including reviewing medical history, vital signs, and physiological status. Manage airway security and ventilation during procedures, utilizing advanced airway management techniques to ensure patient safety. Monitor vital signs continuously during anesthesia, adjusting medication levels as needed to maintain stability. Document all medical interventions accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or other EMR platforms, adhering to HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to develop anesthesia plans aligned with patient care goals. Administer medications and injections responsibly, following NCQA standards for pain management and medication safety protocols. Experience Proven critical care experience in settings such as ICU or emergency departments is essential for handling complex cases confidently. Demonstrated expertise in anesthesiology practices, including airway management, physiology knowledge, and patient monitoring techniques. Experience working with diverse patient populations—including geriatrics and pediatrics—is highly preferred. Strong background in nursing with comprehensive understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology enhances your ability to deliver exceptional care. Familiarity with hospital workflows and electronic documentation systems like Epic or other EHR platforms is required for seamless integration into clinical teams. Prior hospital or ICU experience provides a solid foundation for managing high-acuity cases efficiently while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards. Knowledge of NCQA standards related to patient safety and pain management ensures adherence to regulatory guidelines while delivering high-quality anesthesia services.
