Service Dispatcher / Customer Coordinator Build a Long-Term Career With a Company That Values Its People Universal Plumbing & Sewer is seeking an organized, dependable, and customer-focused professional to serve as a central point of coordination between our customers and field technicians. Prior dispatching experience is beneficial but not required; we provide comprehensive training for the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who excels in fast-paced environments, communicates effectively, and takes pride in delivering strong customer service. Responsibilities Answer customer calls and inquiries with professionalism and courtesy Schedule plumbing service appointments and manage the daily service calendar Coordinate technicians throughout the day to maximize efficiency and productivity Monitor and manage the dispatch board throughout the day, making proactive scheduling adjustments to keep operations running smoothly. Review the dispatch board before the end of each day to ensure after-hours coverage, emergency calls, and the following day's schedule are organized and prepared. Balance technician workloads appropriately to keep the team productive without overloading them Communicate proactively with customers regarding arrival times and job status updates Anticipate and resolve scheduling conflicts Learn and utilize industry-leading dispatch software Maintain strong working relationships with the field team Contribute to ongoing improvements in company systems and processes Qualifications Friendly, professional attitude with strong interpersonal skills Ability to remain composed under pressure while managing multiple priorities Able to problem solve and take ownership of responsibilities.
