Lead the Store. Lead the Shop. Tigon Golf Carts is looking for a hands-on Service Manager / Lead Mechanic to take ownership of the day-to-day operation of one of our locations. This is not a traditional desk-based store manager position. We need someone who can run the store and be the lead mechanical resource at the location . You will be responsible for keeping the location operating effectively, taking care of customers, managing service workflow, maintaining high standards, and personally diagnosing and repairing golf carts when mechanical work needs to be completed. Golf cart experience is not required. We are interested in experienced mechanics and service professionals whose skills can transfer from automotive, powersports, RV, marine, small-engine, fleet, equipment, electrical, or similar repair environments. If you are mechanically strong, comfortable dealing with customers, able to take ownership of a location, and don't need someone constantly telling you what to do next, we want to talk to you. What You'll Do Lead the Store Take ownership of the day-to-day operation of the location. Open and close the store and ensure it is ready for customers each day. Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and professional showroom, lot, shop, and work area. Assist customers with questions, products, service needs, and purchases. Help drive sales through strong customer service, product knowledge, and follow-up. Maintain accurate store, customer, service, and inventory documentation. Monitor inventory, carts, parts, accessories, and service activity. Help resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly. Work independently and keep the location productive without constant supervision. Provide direction and oversight to other employees assigned to the location. Be the Lead Mechanic Serve as the primary mechanical resource for the location. Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems with golf carts. Perform repairs, maintenance, troubleshooting, and vehicle preparation. Inspect carts and identify needed repairs before delivery or customer pickup. Troubleshoot electrical, battery, charging, braking, steering, suspension, drivability, and related vehicle concerns within your training and experience. Ensure repairs are completed correctly and carts are safe and ready for customers. Help determine repair priorities and keep service work moving. Maintain an organized shop and properly care for tools and equipment. Follow company safety procedures and immediately report unsafe equipment or conditions. Help develop the mechanical capabilities of other employees as the location grows. What We're Looking For You do not need previous golf cart experience , but you do need meaningful hands-on mechanical experience. Strong candidates may come from backgrounds such as automotive repair, powersports, motorcycles, ATVs/UTVs, RVs, marine, small engines, fleet maintenance, equipment repair, forklift/material-handling equipment, electrical diagnostics, or similar mechanical work .
You should have:
Strong hands-on mechanical troubleshooting and repair ability. Experience diagnosing mechanical and/or electrical problems. The ability to work independently and determine what needs to be done. Strong customer-service and communication skills. The ability to organize and prioritize both store and service responsibilities. Experience taking ownership of a shop, store, service department, shift, or similar operation. A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record if operating Company vehicles. The ability to work the assigned schedule, including Saturdays when required. The ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Depending on location needs, this position may also: Operate Company vehicles. Pull and back a truck and trailer. Assist with local golf-cart deliveries and pickups. Load, secure, inspect, and transport carts in accordance with Company procedures. Maintain required driver qualifications applicable to the work being performed. The shop and showroom stay organized. Problems are identified early. Documentation is completed accurately. Safety expectations are followed.
