The Role We're looking for a Client Success Manager to own the day-to-day experience for a portfolio of Rain clients. This is a highly hands-on role. You'll work closely with clients, recruiters, contractors, and our internal operations team to keep searches and engagements moving. You'll help receive and clarify job needs, coordinate the hiring process, manage onboarding, answer day-to-day questions, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks. You will be expected to make good day-to-day decisions, know when to act independently, and know when to escalate to the Managing Director. The ideal person is equally comfortable in a client meeting and in the details behind the scenes. You might spend the morning talking with a hiring manager about a new role and the afternoon coordinating a background check, updating our ATS, following up on an interview, selecting talent to present to the client, and making sure a contractor has what they need to start. What You'll Do Client & Account Management Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for assigned clients Build strong working relationships with client managers and hiring teams Receive and clarify job orders, ensuring recruiters have a clear understanding of what the client needs Check in regularly with clients and keep them informed on search and contractor activity Handle day-to-day client questions and decisions, escalating higher-level issues to the Managing Director when appropriate Monitor account health and proactively flag concerns, risks, or opportunities Search & Hiring Coordination Work closely with recruiters to keep searches moving and ensure client needs are understood Review candidate progress and help coordinate interviews, feedback, and next steps Keep clients and internal teams aligned on timelines and expectations Identify when a search needs to be recalibrated and help coordinate the next steps Make sure communication and follow-up happen consistently throughout the search Client Onboarding & Contractor Support Own the logistics of new contractor onboarding, including scheduling, sequencing, handoffs, and timeline tracking Coordinate with Operations on background checks, hardware, contracts, and other onboarding requirements Ensure clients and contractors have the information they need before a start date Respond to day-to-day contractor questions and help resolve issues Maintain visibility into active contractors and engagements after placement Systems, Communication & Organization Keep ATS and client records accurate and up to date Document important decisions, next steps, and account information Draft client updates, follow-ups, and other communications Maintain organized records so anyone on the team can quickly understand the status of an account Support the Managing Director with client research, meeting preparation, and follow-up What We're Looking For Highly detail-oriented and organized. You notice what others miss and follow things through to completion. Strong executor. You don't just identify what needs to happen—you make it happen. Client comfortable. You can confidently participate in a client meeting, ask good questions, communicate clearly, and build rapport. Good judgment. You're comfortable making day-to-day decisions independently and know when something needs to be escalated. Socially savvy. You can read a room, adjust your communication style, and build productive relationships with different personalities. Proactive. You anticipate the next step rather than waiting to be told what to do. Strong communicator. You are polished and concise in both written and verbal communication. Tech-savvy. You're comfortable learning and working across systems such as HubSpot, Google Workspace, and other recruiting and operations tools. Able to manage competing priorities. You can keep multiple searches, clients, contractors, and deadlines moving at the same time. Reliable and accountable. When you say you'll do something, it gets done. What Success Looks Like In this role, success means: Clients know what's happening without having to chase us. Recruiters have clear direction and timely feedback. New hires and contractors have a smooth, organized experience. Important details, deadlines, and follow-ups don't fall through the cracks. Problems are identified early and escalated appropriately. ATS and account information accurately reflect what's happening. The Managing Director can stay focused on strategic client relationships because you are confidently managing the day-to-day. Why Rain Rain is a growing company where your work has a visible impact. You'll have significant ownership, work directly with clients and senior leaders, and have the opportunity to help shape how we operate as we grow. If you're someone who loves getting things done, enjoys working with people, takes pride in being the person others can count on, we'd like to hear from you.
