Job Description
Lead Veterinary Client Service Representative LaFayette Veterinary Clinic is a busy small animal practice that continues to grow, and we are looking for an experienced Lead Client Service Representative to join our friendly, caring, and enthusiastic team in LaFayette, NY, just a short drive from downtown Syracuse. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinary CSR who enjoys providing exceptional client service while leading and mentoring others. As our Lead CSR, you will serve as the first point of contact for our clients and patients while overseeing the daily operations of our front desk team. You will play an important role in creating a welcoming, professional experience for every client and ensuring our reception staff consistently delivers outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate is friendly, compassionate, organized, dependable, and confident in a leadership role. You should excel at multitasking, prioritizing, problem-solving, and remaining calm under pressure. We are looking for someone who leads by example, takes initiative, and is comfortable coaching, training, and supporting fellow team members. Previous veterinary CSR and supervisory or training experience are strongly preferred. Hours are primarily 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM , with one to two Saturdays per month from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Compensation is competitive and based on experience. Please, no phone calls. Please include a cover letter. Responsibilities Answer multi-line telephone system Greet clients and patients with professionalism and compassion Schedule appointments and procedures efficiently Prepare and maintain accurate patient records Escort clients and patients to exam rooms Record patient weights Process client communications via phone, email, fax, and text Answer client questions regarding basic animal care Assist clients during the checkout process Train and onboard new reception team members Supervise and support the daily workflow of the front desk Coach reception staff and promote a positive, professional team culture Help resolve client concerns with empathy and professionalism Ensure front desk policies and procedures are followed consistently Collaborate with doctors and technicians to provide exceptional client and patient care Qualifications Prior veterinary receptionist experience is strongly preferred Leadership, supervisory, or staff training experience is strongly preferred Outstanding customer service and communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated Comfortable providing constructive feedback and mentoring coworkers Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Health insurance Paid time off Employee pet care discount Supportive, friendly work environment
