Client Accounting Specialist
Job Description
Position Summary The Client Accounts & Operations Specialist is responsible for delivering core service functions to Lakeshore clients, including bookkeeping, payroll support, accounts payable/receivable, social media management, and periodic onsite support. This role is a client-facing operational anchor, ensuring that all deliverables are completed accurately, on time, and in line with Lakeshore's service standards. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and timely financial records for clients using QuickBooks Online Reconcile bank and credit card accounts and post journal entries Support client payroll processes and record monthly payroll allocations Manage AP/AR workflows including invoice creation, bill entry, and follow-up communications Attend scheduled onsite visits for operational support and document collection (up to 2/month, depending on client need) Participate in weekly meetings with Lakeshore leadership to review priorities and performance Communicate proactively with clients and leadership regarding status, issues, and deadlines Required Skills & Experience 2+ years experience in bookkeeping, client account management, or back-office operations Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) Understanding of standard payroll workflows and AP/AR processes Detail-oriented and deadline-driven Strong written and verbal communication skills Able to work independently in a remote-first environment Professional presence and reliability for occasional onsite client interactions Work Environment Primarily remote with flexible working hours based on task deadlines Weekly team meeting required Onsite visits to clients (within 30-mile radius) up to twice per month Employee must maintain reliable internet access and a distraction-free work environment
Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 25.0 per weekBenefits:
