Job Description
Overview We are seeking a creative and skilled Floral Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for flowers and design. This role requires an eye for detail, strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Responsibilities Design and create floral arrangements for various events and everyday orders under guidance of a Floral Designer. Maintain knowledge of current floral trends and techniques to ensure innovative designs. Manage inventory of flowers and supplies, ensuring freshness and quality. Operate cash register and POS system for processing sales transactions. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their orders in person and over the phone, assisting in selecting flowers and arrangements that meet their needs and preferences. Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and visually appealing retail space. Delivering local orders using our delivery van, routing system and company cell phone. Requirements Proven experience as a Floral Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. Familiarity with retail math concepts for accurate pricing and inventory management. Experience with cash registers and POS systems. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. Valid driver's license. This is NOT a seasonal summer position. The hours would be 3 day shifts - 2 weekday shifts, 9am-5pm and 1 weekend shift 9am-3pm.
