Job Title:
Project Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our dynamic aerospace team. The role involves creating product designs that endure aerospace environments, including high vibration and temperature variations. You will develop stress analyses such as gear bending and fatigue, and utilize Finite-Element Analysis (FEA), among other techniques. Your work will involve optimizing designs using CAD modeling and stress analysis software, designing assemblies and components, and working with cross-functional teams to develop product solutions. Responsibilities Create product designs that withstand aerospace environments, including high vibration and temperature variations. Develop stress analyses, including gear bending and fatigue, bearing life, and Finite-Element Analysis (FEA). Optimize designs using CAD modeling, stress analysis, and tolerance stack-up software. Design assemblies and components such as gears/splines, environmental or EMI sealing, load paths, fasteners, and electronics integration. Collaborate with cross-functional integrated product teams and customers to develop product solutions. Demonstrate understanding of aerospace-grade materials and post-processes for wear resistance and corrosion protection. Communicate technical information effectively with internal and external customers. Assist with product development and scheduling. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university. 3 years of engineering experience in a high technology manufacturing environment. Experience using CREO and CAD. Proficiency with MS Suite. Authorization to work in the US. Additional Skills & Qualifications Project management skills. Experience in Mechanical Design and 3D CAD. Work Environment This position requires being onsite every day due to essential work functions. The work schedule is 8 hours per day, 5 days a week. The dress code is casual. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Whippany, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $67.31/hr.
