REQUIRED EDUCATION
  • Advanced degree in a scientific or clinical discipline, such as PharmD, PhD, or MD, with relevant pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or clinical experience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Communications, Medical Information, Drug Information, or Scientific Communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and synthesize peer-reviewed literature, clinical data, consensus guidelines, and complex scientific information.
  • Experience developing scientific and medical content for diverse internal and external audiences.
  • Experience conducting medical review of promotional, advertising, training, or field-based materials.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical Medical Affairs practices and regulated scientific communications.
  • Excellent problem-solving, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions and manage complex priorities.
  • Experience developing medical training or scientific educational materials.
  • Experience with stakeholder engagement, budget management, or team leadership.
  • Previous pharmaceutical product launch experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Direct experience with Promotional Review Teams or MLR/PRT processes.
  • Strong Medical Information and standardized response document experience.
  • Experience supporting pharmaceutical product launches.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams through scientific expertise.
  • Experience supporting medical congresses and scientific conferences.

SUMMARY

Seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Medical Affairs & Scientific Communications to support the development and execution of Medical Affairs communications strategies across its therapeutic portfolio.

In this role, you will help ensure the timely, accurate, balanced, and evidence-based communication of scientific and medical information to healthcare professionals, investigators, healthcare organizations, agencies, and patients.

You will play a key role in developing medical response materials, reviewing promotional and Medical Affairs content, supporting scientific communications and training initiatives, and collaborating with partners across Medical Affairs, Commercial, Clinical Research, Drug Safety, Legal, and other functions.

RESPONSIBILITIESMedical Information Strategy & Scientific Communications
  • Lead the development, review, and dissemination of medical and scientific content supporting pharmaceutical and biological products.
  • Ensure scientific communications are accurate, balanced, evidence-based, and aligned with peer-reviewed literature and consensus guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain standardized response documents, FAQs, and other resources used to address medical inquiries.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to integrate medical insights into broader communication strategies.
  • Translate complex scientific and clinical information into clear communications for a variety of internal and external audiences.
Medical Review & Promotional Content
  • Conduct medical and scientific review of advertising, promotional materials, sales training, and field-based medical content.
  • Serve as a Medical Affairs representative on the Promotional Review Team for assigned products or therapeutic areas.
  • Ensure promotional and Medical Affairs materials are scientifically rigorous, accurate, balanced, and aligned with applicable standards and evidence.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to improve medical content development and review processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Participate in Medical Affairs strategic planning for assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Provide scientific and medical expertise to partners across Sales, Marketing, Clinical Research, Drug Safety, Legal, and other functions.
  • Support planning and execution of Medical Affairs activities at major medical and scientific conferences.
  • Engage with healthcare professionals, payers, and other external stakeholders to address medical inquiries and provide scientific support.
  • Build strong partnerships across internal teams to support strategic Medical Affairs initiatives.
Medical Training & Knowledge Management
  • Support the development and implementation of scientific and medical training materials for Sales, Medical Science Liaisons, Customer Care Services, and other internal teams.
  • Develop educational resources that strengthen scientific knowledge across the organization.
  • Maintain and optimize medical communications information systems to ensure clinical and scientific content remains current and accessible.
Data Analysis & Strategic Insights
  • Analyze customer interaction and utilization data from Medical Communications channels to identify trends, patterns, and emerging insights.
  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership to help shape future Medical Affairs communication strategies.
  • Support the review and analysis of medical education grant proposals to ensure alignment with scientific and educational objectives.
  • Drug screen & criminal background check will be required
