Job Description

Our client who is a leading technology-enabled biopharmaceutical services company helping patients access and afford specialty and branded medications is looking for a Patient Support Specialist who will assist patients, physicians, and pharmacies with access to medication through copay assistance and reimbursement programs.

$19 - $20.90/hr

Job Responsibilities :

Responds to inbound and outbound calls from patients, physicians, and pharmacies to support access to care, reimbursement needs, and copay assistance program navigation. Provides concierge‑level "white glove" service, ensuring clear communication about program information, eligibility, and medication access while maintaining strong patient empathy. Processes claims as needed, manage escalations, and collaborates with internal teams such as Program Management, IT, and Contact Center units to resolve issues efficiently. Assists with administrative tasks such as mail sorting or claims processing when required. Helps promote medication adherence by ensuring patients understand program benefits and experience minimal friction in their prescription journey.

Requirements:

Experience working in a call center environment, including understanding of call center operating metrics and performance management (preferred). Knowledge of pharmacy benefits, healthcare insurance, and/or medical billing is a strong plus. Ability to interact professionally with patients, physicians, and pharmacies regarding access-to-care and copay assistance programs. IND8
